To mark the occasion both sets of managers and players posed for photos and exchanged club pennants before kick off.  With the pleasantries done and dusted the game soon got under way.  Both sides started brightly but it was Ballymahon who threatened first, only for the Esker defence to stand firm with defender Sean Hawkins making some key tackles.  The telling moment of the first half came on the stroke of half timecame when the Ballymahon No.9 found himself one on one with the inform Esker No.1, Michael Keegan who kept the score all square at half time.  As the second half got underway, Esker were immediately on the attack with Callum O’Toole, Ciaran Brisco and Jamie Condron linking up well. As the game grew so too did Eskers dominance in the second half.  Ballymahon battled on well but Eskers pressure and determination soon paid off, with a goal fitting to win any game.  As the ball broke to the excellent Brisco, he played a pass into Finn Curran. Finn latched onto the pass and applied a sublime finish into the top right hand corner,....
