Esker Celtic come up trumps in the CARA national inclusion awards and the South Dublin County Council Community Endeavour Awards.
Yesterday was a great day for the Football For All and Frame Football programmes at Esker Celtic.
CARA National Inclusion Awards
The CARA National Inclusion Awards recognises organisations and people who contribute to enhancing participation opportunities for people with disabilities in Sport and Physical Activity. The purpose of the awards is to highlight and acknowledge best practice in relation to provision for people with disabilities in sport and physical activity. Esker Celtic was nominated for the Local Sports Club award with Carrigaline United AFC and Killarney Celtic FC. While Carrigaline United AFC took first place Esker Celtic took Runners Up.
South Dublin County Council Community Endeavour Awards
The aim of South Dublin County Council’s Community Endeavour Awards is to recognise and reward community effort and achievement. The Council is particularly conscious of the efforts of the many individuals and community organisations that work together on an ongoing basis to deliver and implement improvements in a sustainable and inclusive way in servicing the needs of their local communities. Esker Celtic was nominated twice on the night but unfortunately it was not to be. The last chance on the night was to win a Special Recognition Award and that is exactly what we got. Esker Celtic was awarded the SCDD Community Endeavour Special Recognition award for the great work being done in Frame Football.
On behalf of everyone in Esker Celtic, well done to all those involved in Football For All and Frame Football.
