Girls Football
Be part of a team in a fun, friendly, safe atmosphere
Girls Football
2014 saw the launch of Esker Celtic’s two girls teams! We now have two teams at U10s playing in the MGL and are striving to make this season a huge success!
Vanessa O’Donnell, has been appointed to co-ordinate the teams. Both teams have their own managers,
U12Premier Ken O’Shea 087 964 9154 & U11s BLUE Jarek 083 145 6260
Esker Celtic and the FAI see the development of a girls team a big element of developing football and making it accessible to every young person.
Why should girls get involved?
Sport can play a big part in the personal & social development of any young person. It can be important to promote being part of a team in a fun, friendly and safe atmosphere through structured coaching and playing matches against other girls teams in Dublin. It also encourages a more healthy lifestyle through training every week and playing matches.
Esker Celtic have delivered two teams in our first year and there are plans to expand next season.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for girls aged between 7 – 11.
If you are below that age group above, we will take players on through our academy where they can develop their skills and lead on to play for the Esker Celtic girls squad when they reach the right age.
How do you sign up?
In September, our coaches along with Stephen Rice from the FAI, will visit each school in the Lucan area and look for players who wish to join. If you do not go to school in Lucan or if you would like to register your interest now, just contact us on the details below!
If you are interested, no matter what your playing ability is, you can contact Ken 087 964 9154 or email us on eskercelticfc@gmail.com
